Two amazing places to volunteer for teaching experience through York U are Peace By Peace, and Frontier College.
Through Peace by Peace, you get a cirriculum on conflict resolution and anger management, and you and a team of 3-4 students go into a classroom and teach it. You also play games with the students and take turns teaching the week’s unit. Plus, you get a reference letter from Peace By Peace, and what can be better than actual classroom experience?
